Although not identical to the Norse myth, our Hel is remarkably similar. Most often identified with a female personification, she resides over her own World of Hel. This is where unfortunate souls are taken upon death in the Mortal Plane. There is an association with the forces of evil surrounding Hel.
Quel, conversely, is seen as the great creator, the bringer of life and order, generally a figure associated with good. Usually interpreted as male, his main role in is to prevent mortal souls being lost to Hel.
Quel's divine power is the constant resurrection of his followers. All player adventurer's are devoted followers of Quel, who are granted resurrection should their physical death occur. They do not truly die, their souls are returned to life, albeit at the cost of some Cubitz, a gift to the God.
